Light meets dark. Secrets meet truth.
It's been three years, twenty-five weeks, and five days since Isis Blake fell in love, and if she has it her way, it'll stretch into infinity.
After a run-in with her mom’s ex-boyfriend, she scrabbles to remember what she’s lost to amnesia. Her ex-nemesis Jack falls deeper into a pit of despair, and his girlfriend Sophia does all she can to keep him to herself. But as Isis’ memories return, she finds it harder and harder to resist what she felt for Jack, and Jack finds it impossible to stay away from the only girl who’s ever melted the ice around his heart.
As the dark secrets surrounding Sophia emerge, Isis realizes Jack isn’t who she thought he was. He’s dangerous. But when Isis starts receiving terrifying emails from an anonymous source, that danger might be the only thing protecting her from something far more threatening.
Her past.

My Review

Ohmygodohmygodohmygod that goddamn ending. It's a cliffhanger hanging off a cliff on a freaking hanger. I seriously did not expect that ending at all.

This book was phenomenal. Just as brilliant as Love Me Never, if not, even better. I sped past this book in less than a couple of hours (curtesy of it being very short. Damn you Ms Wolf, I want more) and I have to say, those hours were hours well spent because it blew my mind away.

Ms Sara Wolf never cease to surprise me with her writing. It is hilarious, emotional and absolutely gut-wrenchingly stunning. I fell in love with this world she'd built from the very first paragraph of Love Me Never, and I believe I would drop down on one knee to marry her right now after finishing Forget Me Always.

I fell head first down the rabbit hole with Isis in this book because 1) she is absolutely hilarious and everything that comes out of her head and mouth makes me laugh so hard I'm scared I might poop myself (yes, you heard me) and 2) her personality, her secrets, her conviction and her just being Isis makes me want to cry and laugh and love all at the same time. Seriously, I want an Isis Blake in my life.

The sun barges in and sits its butt on my eyes and the world is ending and I’m blind and everything is over. And then I roll over and see Jack’s face on the pillow and then everything is really over. Permanently. Because my universe explodes.

Jack, my hottie love, Jack jack jack jack. I love Jack so much in this book. Though I am particularly worried about his job opportunities in the future ever since he quit his current one. I am very very worried. Anyway, Jack the Ice Prince became the love of my life in this book because of his actions. I loved that little hotel/bed/sleeping scene because I'm not going to lie, I laughed way too much and the scene itself was just beautiful.

Anyway, moving on.

In Forget Me Always, we get to see a lot more of Sophia who we've only heard about before in the first book. And I went through some very dangerous rollercoaster with her in this book. At first, I really liked her and her relationship with Isis. And then all of the sudden I hate her so much with all of my soul that I want to rip out her hair, curl it and stick it on her butt to make it look like actual pigtails (Isis is rubbing off on me, blame her). And then I go back to liking her again. Nonetheless, I went through some emotional rollercoaster with her, but in the end, I still really liked her character. Which is why that ending shocked me so much I had to stop for a few minutes to stare at nothingness before writing this review (it's currently 02:36AM on a Wednesday btw, I need to go to sleep).

That ending blew my mind away and I seriously have to say, Ms Sara Wolf is very close to breaking my heart because damn how could you end it like that? The questions left unanswered in book 1 is still left unanswered and it is bothering the hell out of me. Some have been solved, but more keeps popping up like little plastic heads in that smashy game machine at the theme park where you bop their heads but they keep coming back up even though they might have a concussion.

But anyway, this series is just getting better and better and I'm loving every second of it. I really hope there are more than 3 books because this world is just too amazing to end and Isis needs more than 3 books to show off her sexy sassiness because like she says:

"Show 'em the sass before you show 'em the ass."

Goddamn I love Isis Blake.

About The Author

Sara Wolf is a twenty-something author who adores baking, screaming at her cats, and screaming at herself while she types hilarious things. When she was a kid, she was too busy eating dirt to write her first terrible book. Twenty years later, she picked up a keyboard and started mashing her fists on it and created the monster known as the Lovely Vicious series. She lives in San Diego with two cats, a crippling-yet-refreshing sense of self-doubt, and not enough fruit tarts ever.
