My Review

I didn't expect to like this book as much as I thought. Edge Of Truth was different than some other dystopian books out there, in this book, it had a bit of paranormal twist in it. 

The main character Rena is a 16-year-old girl who is one of the "Others". She keeps it a secret because if the government found out, they would take her, as well as other "Others" out there. I can related to her in some ways, but to be honest, she was a bit weak for my liking. I ended up liking her best friend, Blaze, better than her. Rena is strong in some ways, like dealing with the death of her mother and now dealing with the new woman that has gotten into her dad's arms. I could feel her annoyance towards the fact that her mother just died and her father is already moving on with another woman. But to take her mind of her family problems, she has a secret crush on Nevan, a boy who is quite famous towards the girls. 

Nevan is pretty protective over Rena. When we first meet him, he seems quite and very secretive. But when we get deeper into the story, we get to know more about Nevan as he begans to open up more towards Rena. 

The only thing that I thought was missing from the story was that there were parts that were really confusing to understand, and there were a few questions left answered. Like, why are there "Others"? It doesn't seem genetic, but there were no reasons. And why did the Government take the "Others" away? What harm could they do? Those were the questions that I wanted the answers for while I was reading the book. But other than that, I like the plot, the characters and the mystery of the caves and the artifacts hidden within the caves.

Salvation (Guardian Angel #3)

Salvation is action-packed, fast-paced and it was SO COOL to read!! I just couldn't stop reading.

This book continues on a year from Sun Kissed (book 2), Ruby has been living on her own in a small town. Well, until she meets Hunter and Lucian again. Ruby then got invited back to the Sage Sanctum and of course, she didn't even have to think twice.

When Ruby came back to the Sage Sanctum, she realizes that nothing can be the same. The connection between her and Hunter is undeniable, they just can't stop the pull towards each other. I'm not really into forbidden romance since it gets on my nerves, but in this book, it was awesome!!

After being offered her dream job Ruby just can't help but things are a bit off in some ways. And after everything she had to go through, she wants to end things once and for all. The ending was just.......EPIC!! 

You HAVE to read this series if you like an awesome paranormal story with a few splashes of forbidden romance. The plot never gets boring and the characters are so likeable, LOVEABLE even. The series was so addicting, I just couldn't stop reading!! YOU HAVE TO READ IT NOW!!

My Review

What can I say about this book? What can't I say about this book? IT WAS AWESOME! Cora did an amazing job at writing Losing It (I love that book too), and now she did an even better job at writing Faking It.

When Cora first announced that there will be a stand-alone sequel to Losing It, I was SCREAMING with delight and knew that I needed this book straight away. Unlike Losing It, this book was more realistic when it came to relationships. Even though I love Garrick, I love Cade too. 

We get to meet Max "Mackenzie". Her parents wants her to be the "good girl" and basically forces her to get a decent boyfriend. I hate it when parents do that, but deep inside I know that they love her and just want the best for their daughter. But Max isn't the "good" girl. She's the sort of girl who has a foul-smart-mouth, tattoos and the pole-dancing type of girl. I find her really likeable, maybe it was because I like a foul-mouthed girl...hehe. No only that, but Max had humour, she would turn a lot of sentences into really funny jokes and I found myself laughing a lot of the time. 

Also, how can we forget about Cade? For me, I never really liked Cade in Losing It because the second in the love-triangle always give me the crawlies. But in Faking It, I fell in love straight away. We didn't get to see a lot of him in the first book, but in here, we get to see his side of the story, his feelings, and his emotions. I get to feel what he feels and get to see what he sees, and I get to see the whole new side of him that I never got to see in Losing It.

Cora did an awesome job creating up these characters. I could feel the attraction between Max and Cade. I could feel the hesitant feeling that they had towards each other even though they try to not show it. I love how Cora quoted song lyrics in here, they were all so beautiful!!

I enjoyed this book so much that I read it all in one go!! I was just shaking with delight when I finally got to read it after being tortured by those that got signed copies from BEA...lol! But now that I've read it, I LOVE IT!! 

I swear, Cora can never disappoint me with anything. I cannot wait for FINDING IT, the 3rd stand-alone instalment in the Losing It series. I am ADDICTED to her writing!!

My Review

This book was about secrets and facing them, instead of turning away because it will still be buried inside you. Sarra did an awesome job creating up the story of Leigh Anne and her secrets. 

We get introduced to Leigh Anne, she is witty, a pretty normal college girl. She'd just came back from Boston for the summer. She has problems with her family, especially her mum. I felt that her family really pushes her so far that she's scared to push back. Leigh Anne was really likeable, I could relate to her in some ways. Like the fact that she has such a load in her, she needs help and support from her family, but they're not giving it to her. Instead, they're pushing her much further away, making her do and be someone she doesn't want to be. I could totally relate to Leigh Anne in so many ways.

Of course, everyone wants to know about the love interest, Knox Warner (hehe). He's not the bad-boy we all normally read, he's the boy that is known as the 'freak' in town, he was rumoured to have been in jail for doing drugs AND assaulting someone physically. But really, he's the exact opposite. Knox is charming, he's HOT, and he understand Leigh Anne. He's not the impatient type, he listens and give Leigh Anne time. And I found that very admirable because not many men can pull of being patient, sometimes, their rope just snap and they just become really impatient, but Knox wasn't like that.

I love how Sarra builds up the characters in here. The characters were understandable (good way and bad way), I understood every characters. Even though some were just completely and utterly selfish, I understood their motions and emotions. Like Leigh Anne's mum, she cares about nothing but herself and her reputation. She doesn't understand what her only daughter needed and wanted, she just hoped that her daughter would be silent about everything and just follow the rules. 

This was why I love Sarra's writing so much, I could see the characters from the description that she created, I could feel the emotions that the characters felt through her words. It was just all so real.

I love this book, it was such an awesome read and I could not stay away from the computer screen (I think I might need glasses.....shh!).
